I maintain a private practice in Green Valley, Arizona since 2006.
Education and Experience
I have over 23 years of experience as a clinical therapist. I began my education at Rocky Mountain College where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1988. I studied Psychology at City University of New York in Harlem, New York and later completed a master’s in arts at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1997.
My work experience includes working with emotionally disturbed adolescents in New York City at a group home setting, working with women at a domestic violence shelter in Providence, Rhode Island. I moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1998 with my husband and two sons and began working at Las Familias (www.lasfamilias.org) a childhood sexual abuse treatment center in Tucson where I provided services to adults and children. I also worked with the Center for Prevention and Resolution of Violence in Tucson providing therapy services to asylum seekers and refugees in Tucson . I have also provided Psychological first aid to victims of disaster in Tucson and other parts of the country. I had the opportunity to work with South Eastern Behavioral Health Services in Nogales, Arizona as a contract therapist. For a few years I did deployments with MHN-GS as a military family life consultant. I also worked at International Rescue Committee in Tucson providing services to refugees. In 2009-2011, I worked with Pantano Behavioral Health Services (www.pantanobh.org) in Tucson with at risk-children.
Furthermore , I volunteered with The American Red Cross, Tucson chapter from 2006 to 2018.
I hold a certificate in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a powerful and evidenced-based method of psychotherapy that has helped many people of all ages relieve many types of psychological distress, and is a professional member of EMDRIA (EMDR International Association) www.emdria.org
I am a member of The Association for Play Therapy (APT), a Registered Play Therapist, and a graduate of The Association for Play Therapy leadership class 2013. APT defines play therapy as "the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development." www.a4pt.com
Since 2012, I has devoted my time exclusively as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal goals they are committed to accomplishing.

Mi experiencia laboral incluye trabajar con adolescentes con trastornos emocionales en la
ciudad de Nueva York en un hogar grupal, y trabajar con mujeres en un refugio de violencia
doméstica en Providence, Rhode Island. Me mudé a Tucson, Arizona en 1998 con mi esposo y

tratamiento de abuso sexual infantil, donde brindaba servicios a adultos y niños. También

Por otro lado, he brindado primeros auxilios psicológicos a víctimas de desastres en Tucson y

despliegues con MHN-GS como consultor de vida familiar militar. También trabajé en el
Comité Internacional de Rescate en Tucson brindando servicios a refugiados. En 2009-2011,
trabajé con Pantano Behavioral Health Services (www.pantanobh.org) junto a niños en
riesgo. Adicionalmente, estuve como voluntaria en la sección de Tucson de la Cruz Roja
Americana de 2006 a 2018.
Tengo un certificado en EMDR (Desensibilización y reprocesamiento del movimiento ocular), que es un método de psicoterapia poderoso y basado en evidencia que ha ayudado a muchas personas de todas las edades a aliviar muchos tipos de angustia psicológica, y soy miembro profesional de EMDRIA (Asociación Internacional EMDR )
También soy miembro de The Association for Play Therapy (APT), siendo una terapeuta de
juego registrado y me gradué de la clase de liderazgo de The Association for Play Therapy en
2013. APT define la terapia de juego como "el uso sistemático de un modelo teórico para
establecer un proceso interpersonal donde los terapeutas de juego entrenados usan los
poderes terapéuticos del juego para ayudar a los clientes a prevenir o resolver dificultades

Desde 2012, he dedicado mi tiempo exclusivamente como médico privado trabajando con un
amplio espectro de clientes. Trabajo con cada individuo para ayudarlos a desarrollar sus
fortalezas y alcanzar las metas personales que están comprometidos a lograr.
